Rara is one of the best places I’ve had Nepali food in the Bay Area. The flavors are authentic, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The momos were juicy and packed with flavor, and the dal bhat was comforting and tasted just like a home-cooked meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. If you’re looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine or simply want a delicious meal, I highly recommend Rara. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This was my first time here and the food was amazing. The flavor, the presentation, the temperature of the food and the service was so good. We tried the momo, lamb sizzling plate and goat curry. We will definitely be back.

This meal looks like a beautifully presented Nepali-style thali, and it truly feels like a complete, comforting dining experience. The plate is centered around fluffy, perfectly cooked white rice, surrounded by a variety of flavorful sides that make every bite exciting. The curry appears rich and aromatic, with tender pieces that look well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The lentil soup (dal) adds warmth and balance, while the mixed vegetables and greens bring freshness and a nice contrast in texture. The crispy fried strips add a satisfying crunch, making the meal even more enjoyable. The side of rice pudding looks smooth and cooling, which pairs nicely with the spices, and the pickles and chutney seem to add an extra punch of flavor. The papad on the side completes the traditional touch, adding both texture and authenticity. Overall, this dish looks not only delicious but also wholesome and satisfying—a perfect mix of taste, nutrition, and variety. It’s the kind of meal that feels both homely and special at the same time.

Loved the food! If you are looking for “Ghar ka Khaana” and authentic Nepalese food, this is the best spot. 5/5 pm Chicken Momo! Their Non Veg Dal Bhat Khana Set was delicious! 💕 what a delicious goat curry and Tamatar ki chutney ! And the owner Binod ji and Anita ji are amazing - such a cute couple that takes care of you when you enter inside the restaurant and are taking orders smilingly. They make sure everything is okay. Will definitely come back again! Thank you Binod Ji!

We had a fantastic lunch at **Rara**. Great ambience, delicious Himalayan-style food, and genuinely warm, friendly service. We ordered fried momos, choila momo, fried chicken, and Yakni pulao. The choila momo was a standout for me—served with a smoky, gingery, slightly spicy side that completely elevates the chicken momo. The Yakni pulao was wonderfully flavorful and came with a delicious goat curry on the side. Desserts were a treat: my son loved the juju dhau (sweet creamy yogurt with pistachio), and my daughter devoured the lalmohan, which is like gulab jamun topped with rasmalai. We finished with Nepali chai served in charming clay cups—such a nice touch. A wonderful lunch experience. Highly recommend!
